St. Lawrence River- 1000 Islands
For 2012 I'm actually thinking of applying
for my PA Fishing Guide
license. Why? In the event my friend Bill (www.billsguideservice.com)
needs some additional help on his guide trips or if I take a friend or two out I can issue
them a 1-day license. Besides, I already have my Coast Guard
Course and CPR/First Aid Course. All I need to do now is write a check
for $100 to PA Fish and Boat and I'm Capt Rob..ha

It wasn't until after I graduated from Penn State where my college roomie Kirk showed me how to bass fish. Thanks bud.
In 1990 I finally got smart and joined a local Bass Fishing Club- Peace Valley Bass Anglers. I also got smart and hired a couple professional bass fishing guides on Lake Wallenpaupack and the Potomac River..and I was HOOKED! Finally, I started catching BIG Bass...mostly Largemouth though.
It wasn't until I hooked into my first 3 lb. Smallie on Lake Wallenpaupack in 1992 that I was officially HOOKED. There's nothing like reeling in a 3 lb. Smallie- complete with aerial acrobatics. In the mid-90s, I started fishing the Red Man Tournament Trail.
To this day, I target Smallies wherever I go, whether it's on a river or a lake. Yeah, it's fun catching BIG Largemouth but NOTHING like catching BIG Smallies!
